Archeology dig for SUNY Potsdam class in Burke
Two digs from Archeology students at SUNY Potsdam were done at the Wilder Homestead in Burke, NY. The homestead was the boyhood home of Almanzo Wilder, husband of Laura Ingalls Wilder and is owned by the Almanzo and Laura Ingalls Wilder Association. Wilder was the author of the Little House on the Prairie series of books. Here students are shown working under the supervision of faculty member Steven Marqusee in digs for artifacts and to find the original foundations of the barns that had stood on the property. 1980. Burke, NY.
