Colton Fire Department’s Scuba Underwater Rescue Team practicing in winter, circa early 1960s. Steve Stowe was one of the instigators of the Rescue Team, which was also for body recovery, and in this photo the team practices on the Racquette River behind Stowe Lane in South Colton, NY, between the powerhouse and bridge.
