Delia Windwalker, 62 years old, practices what she calls pyschosensory self-care from where she lives in Great Bend, in the town of Champion. This is recent work; the majority of Windwalker’s career has been in institutional advancement of non-profit and religious organizations. But a few years ago, she became interested in an alternative ‘healing touch’ technique called Havening, which aims to reduce emotional pain and trauma through physical stroking of the face, arms, and palms. She plans to open her own business in the next year. In the audio clip Delia explains her work and sharing the story of the first time she practiced Havening.
