Holland House Hotel in Blue Mountain Lake
Guests and workers pose on the porches of the Holland House Hotel, a five-story hotel. A full stagecoach is paused in front of the hotel. Circa 1890. Blue Mountain Lake, NY. Courtesy of the Town of Long Lake Archives.
Comment by Jane Mackintosh: Holland’s opened in 1875, was expanded in 1878, burned in 1886, was rebuilt and reopened in 1887. Was modified at later dates, which I don’t have.
Not to be confused with Merwin’s Blue Mountain House hotel, which also opened in 1875.
