Inside the Grand Union Hotel bar in Carthage
Barmen and patrons in the bar of the Grand Union Hotel, built in 1893 by Michael Gleason. According to the Carthage Republican Tribune, in 1905, owners Melvin and Laura Quinn were arraigned for selling liquor on Sunday. They pleaded not guilty to the charges and bail was fixed at $500 apiece. Photo circa 1910-1920. Carthage, NY.
