Nelson Brown using a draw shave to shape canoe paddles. He was the foreman of the Rushton Boat Shop and a very skilled boat builder. Behind him hang boat patterns for making boat pieces. Circa 1910. Originally identified and researched by Atwood Manley. Hamlet of Rushton in the Town of Canton, NY.
