The American House Hotel in Canto

The exterior of the American House hotel, with employees and guests on the hotel porches; note the chambermaids standing on the second floor.  The American House Hotel was built in 1825 and torn down in 1916. It was located at the intersection of Main Street and Park Street in Canton, where the Post Office and American Theater now stand. Circa 1890. Canton, NY.
