The Potsdam Depot had been scheduled for demolition when the partial bypass of downtown Potsdam was constructed. Public pressure resulted in a successful effort to move and preserve the structure, which is now the home of an Italian restaurant, Mama Lucia’s, a few hundred feet from its original location.
